Te Pūtahi Whaiora
Our office, Te Pūtahi Whaiora, is Coromandel's resource and Heartlands Service Centre. We assist with enquiries, printing, transport assistance, and offer four hireable rooms for agencies and the community.

Whānau Support Services

Financial Mentoring Service & Foodbank
Our Foodbank provides essential kai to those in need, while our Financial Mentoring Service offers free, confidential support to help whānau manage their money, reduce debt, and plan for a stronger future.

Transport Assistance
Our Community Transport Assistance supports whānau with access to essential services. We offer financial help towards the cost of travel to hospital appointments, a weekly van service to Thames, and a team of amazing volunteer drivers who assist with local and out-of-town transport.

Rentable Office Space
We offer affordable, casual office space for meetings, workshops, or day-to-day use. Our spaces are flexible, welcoming, and fully equipped, perfect for individuals, small groups, or organisations needing a professional environment.

Te Mana Tangata
Te Mana Tangata is a welcoming community space where people can connect, learn, and grow. We offer a range of activities, workshops, and support services that strengthen wellbeing and build community.

Artists in The Making
Artists in the Making is a creative space where people of all abilities can explore, express, and develop their artistic talents. Through weekly workshops led by local artists, we support creativity, connection, and wellbeing in a relaxed, inclusive environment.

Te Puāwai — Native Plant Nursery
Te Puāwai is our native plant nursery, dedicated to growing healthy plants and nurturing connections with the land. We focus on sustainability, community involvement, and supporting local restoration projects.

Kaumātua Flats
Our Kāumatua Flats provide comfortable, affordable housing for older members of our community. Designed with accessibility in mind, these flats offer a supportive environment where kāumatua can enjoy their independence while being part of a close-knit, caring community.

The Bizarre — Community Resale Shop
The Bizarre is a vibrant treasure trove of second-hand items, where you can find everything from unique clothing to quirky homewares. All proceeds support local initiatives, making every purchase a contribution to the community.

The Goldmine — Reuse Centre & Refuse Station
Situated at the Refuse Transfer Station, The Goldmine is an amazing reuse shop focusing on the diversion of goods from landfill. CILT currently has a contract to manage the Coromandel Refuse Transfer Station.

Samuel James Reserve
The Samuel James Reserve is a peaceful green space located in Coromandel Town, offering a quiet spot for relaxation and community gatherings. CILT currently manages the public bathrooms at the reserve, helping to keep the space clean and accessible for everyone.
